WildCard Ver: 1.0 - (c) 1990 by Henrik Schmiediche.
WildCard will allow any program to be run with wildcard
specifications. Many programs do not recognize DOS '*' and
'?' wildcard characters. So, for example, if you would like
to type the command: "EDIT *.DOC", but the program EDIT does
not recognize the wildcard characters '*'and '?', type:
"WC EDIT *.DOC", and WildCard will do the rest.
The first command line argument containing a '*' or '?' is
assumed to be the filename template and WildCard will use
it to scan the current directory for matches. Any subsequent
arguments containing wildcard characters will be constructed
based on the current match of the first template. If this is
not clear use the /c switch to see the actual DOS command
WildCard generates. WildCard will not work with internal DOS
commands. Press ESC to exit WildCard at any time.
This program may be freely distributed. The author, however,
retains the copyright to this program (WildCard).
Bugs: If a new file is created by the program that is being
executed and that program matches the WildCard file
template then WildCard may act upon it. This may not
always be desirable. This problem is most likely to
occurr if the first file template is *.*.
